Dunovglass was established in 2004. The company’s founder and creative initiator is Juris
Dunovskis. Originally, the goal was to explore the decorative glass market, sell
the items created in the Baltic States and then focus on producing his designs
in his own studio. The beginning samples were made in the United States, where
Juris Dunovskis learned the art of glass blowing. After returning to Jurmala,
Latvia, a glass studio was built and the production of decorative glass began
in 2007.
The glass objects made here are exclusively hand made. They are paperweights
in different sizes, candle holders, decorative forms and items suited as gifts
for various occasions. System 96 Spektrum collets and glass plates are used for
all items produced.
Besides the basic production, the author’s original designs are also made. Juris
Dunovskis became an active participant in local and international exhibitions
as well as glass symposiums and conferences after he finished his studies at the
Latvian Art Academy. |
